How to connect the trainer to Zwift, Onelap, and FATRACING Trainer
A modern smart trainer typically broadcasts power, speed, and cadence via Bluetooth and ANT+ FE-C. The app needs to select the trainer as a controllable trainer, not just as a power source.
Select the correct device roles
In Zwift and Onelap, it's better to connect the indoor trainer simultaneously as a power source and as a controlled trainer. Then the app can change the resistance on climbs and in ERG intervals.
Turn ERG on for training, turn it off for racing
ERG holds the given watts and is convenient for intervals. In a race or free ride, the resistance should depend on the slope and gear, otherwise the trainer will fight your pace.
If the connection falls off
Remove unnecessary Bluetooth connections, bring your laptop or ANT+ dongle closer to the trainer, update the firmware and check if another app has taken over the device. FATRACING has its own section on the website Indoor trainer for training directly from the browser.
